Erwin Aulis

Bio

Erwin Aulis retired in May 2017 following a 30+-year career in the real estate investment industry, the last 25 of which were in real estate private equity. Most recently, Mr. Aulis was Chief Operating Officer of New York- and Denver-based Northwood Investors. At the time of his retirement, Northwood had assets under management of approximately $6.5 billion, with investments in the United States and
Europe. As with Northwood, Mr. Aulis is grateful for having had the opportunity to help grow the two firms with whom he was previously associated, Chicago-based Transwestern Investment Company (now Pearlmark Real Estate Partners) where he served as Chief Investment Officer and New York-based O’Connor Capital Incorporated (“OCI” and now O’Connor Capital Partners) where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of OCI. During his career, Mr. Aulis was involved either directly or in an oversight capacity in over $25 billion of investment and capital markets transactions.


Mr. Aulis is a member of the Kellogg School of Management’s Real Estate Advisory Council. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Sacred Heart Schools – Sheridan Road and chairs the Board of Chapter Advisors for Phi Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta International Fraternity at Northwestern University. Mr. Aulis received his B.A. from Northwestern and his M.B.A. from Kellogg.
